Joffe & Associ\u00e9s advises Inarix on a fundraising round. The company, which specialises in AI-powered crop imaging analysis solutions, is accelerating its expansion in Europe and the US with funding of \u20ac3.1 million. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The technology developed by Inarix aims to simplify the harvesting process by monitoring crop quality via a smartphone app. It enables users to \u201cobtain results instantly, whilst on the move, and without having to use bulky, complex machinery\u201d, says Inarix\u2019s founder and CEO, Pierre Chapelle. He adds that \u201cThese analyses are usually carried out by machines. And we manage to achieve the same level of reliability as they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

After growing independently for more than four years, Inarix is opening up its share capital for the first time. In 2018, the CEO self-funded the development of the company\u2019s agricultural yield analysis software, right up until the signing of its first client in 2019.<\/p>\n

Now boasting a team of over thirty employees, 400 agricultural sites using its services and a thriving sales operation, the company has raised \u20ac3.1 million from Ankaa Ventures, followed by the Spanish firm Label Investment \u2013 which specialises in agricultural innovation \u2013 Newfund, Alliance for Impact (a fund managed by Ventech) and ResiliAnce, an investment firm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vast majority of imaging solutions for agriculture are designed for non-harvested crops. Inarix\u2019s solution is unique in this respect,\u201d confirms Jonathan Cohen-Sabban, co-founder of Ankaa Ventures.<\/p>\n

With this funding round, Inarix aims to establish itself as a market leader in the US and European markets. Investments will also be made in R&D, particularly to enable the analysis of maize, soya and coffee crops, as well as to strengthen the core technology.<\/p>\n
