Joffe & Associés is the name and brand under which Joffe & Associés SELARL and Joffe & Partners LLP provide legal services. The use of the name Joffe & Associés is for description purposes only and does not imply that Joffe & Associés SELARL and Joffe & Partners LLP are in a partnership or are part of a global LLP. The responsibility for the provision of services to the client is defined in the terms of engagement between the instructed firm and the client.
Joffe & Associés SELARL is a law firm regulated by the Ordre des Avocats de Paris and is a société d’exercice libéral à responsabilité Limitée registered in France under number 410 490 932 RCS Paris.
Joffe & Partners LLP is a law firm authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The professional rules applicable to the practice are available online at www.sra.org.uk. The firm is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under number OC420054. AA full list of its members is available for inspection at the firm’s registered office 3-7 Temple Avenue, London EC4Y 0HP. The firm’s VAT number is 286 8814 45.
This Website, available at the URL address www.joffeasocies.com (here in after the “Site”) is edited by the Firm of Joffe & Associés, exercising as a Société d’Exercice Libéral à Responsabilité Limitée  (a French limited liability company) with capital of €1,096,933.00, recorded in the Trade and Company Register of Paris under number 410 490 932, whose articles of association have been filed with the Paris Bar Association, and located at 5, rue Marietta Alboni – 75016 Paris, France, telephone: +33 1 43 18 20 30, electronic address: contact@joffeassocies.com (hereinafter the “Firm”).
The Director of Publication of this Site is Mrs. Fanny Cebrian, Office Manager.

2. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

The processing of the personal data collected or released from this Site are compliant with the provisions of Chapter IV of the law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as modified, and the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016.
The electronic mail address and all other data of a personal nature voluntarily included by the User for identification purposes in an electronic mail addressed to the Firm, together with the IP addresses linked to his Internet connection, are the only information of a personal nature likely to be collected through the Site and processed by the Firm (hereinafter the “Personal Data”).
The electronic mail address and all other data of a personal nature that the User includes in his electronic mail for identification purposes is collected from the Site through the “Contact” or “Newsletter” link, from where Site Users can send electronic mails to the Firm. This data is collected and used exclusively for the purposes of (i) replying to electronic mails sent to the Firm and its members and (ii) to send the User periodical information (newsletter). The aforementioned data will be kept for the time that is necessary according to the purpose for which it has been collected and processed.
Personal Data collected and processed by the Firm will not be sold or leased, free of charge or against payment, to third parties.
Any User, capable of proving his or her identity, can demand, as applicable, the rectification, completion, update or removal of the Personal Data relating to him or her, which is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated, or for which the use or storage is prohibited.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Site and each of the elements of which it is composed, and in particular the texts, articles, letters of information, releases, presentations, brochures, illustrations, photographs, animations, etc., are the exclusive intellectual property of the Firm, excepting third party trademarks that may be cited (and identified by ®).
Property-related Intellectual property rights in the photographs reproduced on the Site have been assigned to the Firm.
The User is not authorized to reproduce, represent, modify; translate and/or adapt, in whole or in part, for payment or free of charge, the Site and any of the elements of which it is composed, and to reproduce and/or represent such translations, adaptations and modifications, in whole or in part, for payment or free of charge, without the prior written approval of the Firm.
As an exception, the Firm authorizes Users to download letters of information or other documents owned by the Firm, which are made available in electronic format for downloading.
Any short quotation must feature the title of the document or the page on the Site that is quoted, the author’s name and, where applicable, the publication number of the quoted document.

4. PROVISIONS ABOUT JOFFE AND PARTNERS LLP

4.1 Professional Indemnity Insurance
Joffe & Partners LLP maintains compulsory professional indemnity insurance with Axis Speciality Europe SE of registered office Mount Herbert Court 34 Upper Mount Street Dublin 2 Ireland, Policy number : 3433480122PI. This insurance covers all our practice carried on from London and excludes our practice carried on from Paris, which is covered by MMA IARD Assurances Mutuelles- MMA IARD SA of registered office 14 Bd Marie et Alexandre Oyon, 72100 Le Mans.

4.2 Complaints
You are entitled to complain, including in relation to our bills, by way of the firm’s Complaints Procedure, a copy of which is available on request. At the conclusion of our complaints process you may be entitled to complain to the Legal Ombudsman (provided within six months of receipt of our written response to your complaint). You can contact the Legal Ombudsman by email at enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk, by post at PO Box 15870, Birmingham, B30 9EB or by telephone on 0121 245 3050. You may also have a right to object to the bill by applying to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974. If you apply for an assessment, the Legal Ombudsman may not deal with your complaint.

5. GENERAL PROVISIONS
