WE ARE J&A

  • Origins

From the outset Joffe & Associés is founded on a simple premise: taking a comprehensive approach to each case by providing a multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional solution. One of the first clients is a Japanese group, outlining the international fabric of the firm.

  • The age of reason

The expertise of Joffe & Associé takes structure with the creation of the corporate, commercial, employment, real estate and litigation departments. The firm brings on board five young partners, Géraldine Lepeytre, Thomas Saltiel, Tehani Goy, Thomas Lepeytre and Fabrice Hercot, still present today. Joffe & Associés now counts more than a dozen professionals.

  • Maturity

Joffe & Associés moves into its current offices in the 16th district. The firm enjoys strong annual growth. Permanently anchored from a geographical and business point of view, the firm consolidates its established skills by multiplying its teams, and bringing in three new partners: Mathieu Gaudemet, in charge of the new Public and Regulatory Law department, David Tavernier in charge of the Real Estate department and Aymeric Dégremont, who becomes a partner in the Corporate department.

  • London Calling

Conscious of its international potential, Joffe & Associés opens an office in London. This new gateway enables the firm to continue structuring its wide-reaching network of correspondents, first of all in Europe, followed by Asia, the Middle East and the United States. The Employment Law department welcomes a new partner: Blaise Deltombe. A new area of expertise opens up in Sport Law with the arrival of Romain Soiron, who becomes a partner in 2014. Olivier Cavézian comes on board as a partner in 2014 to set up a Competition Law department.

  • New partners

Strengthened by a stable level of activity and a team made up of fifteen partners and close to twenty-five associates, Joffe & Associés has a new aim: to become the ambassadors of French know-how. Confident in the potential of French entrepreneurs, the Firm works with actors from industry and technology on their cross-border projects, and provides support for foreign investors in the financing of key sectors of French excellence. Virginie Belle becomes a partner in the Firm in 2017, and Olivier Dumas arrives at the beginning of 2018, bringing to the firm his recognized expertise in the Financial Services and Asset Management sector. The Firm also welcomes Virginie Davion as a partner in Tax Law in April 2018.

  • The year of talent

Upgrading our teams  is a permanent concern and 2019 was no exception to our rule, Camille Malbezin was appointed Counsel.

We have also been able to attract new talent to consolidate our growing activity in corporate and tax law and strengthen the commercial law/sports law team.

Our partners are recognized for their expertise in International law firm guides and we are now recognized among the best firms in the French market.

  • Arrival of Véronique Dahan, IP partner, and creation of the Intellectual Property department.

The objective of this department is to provide a global offer in intellectual property law, covering trademarks and domain names, designs, copyright, software and related unfair competition issues.

  • 25 years of Joffe & Associés

In June 2022, Joffe & Associés celebrates the 25th anniversary of its firm.

Since 1996, Joffe & Associés has been assisting French industrialists, service companies and public entities in their projects in France and abroad, as well as foreign companies and investors in the financing and implementation of their operations in France.

  • Arrival of Emilie de Vaucresson, partner in the Intellectual Property practice, and creation of the IT/DATA practice.

With its expertise in IT, telecommunications and digital technology law, this department is particularly involved in legal engineering, drafting, auditing and negotiating all types of contracts (development contracts for IT solutions, contracts for the deployment of IT or telecommunications networks, SaaS contracts, ERP integration, maintenance, outsourcing, blockchain, software licensing contracts, databases, cloud computing, etc. ) as well as in the context of IT litigation (failure of IT projects, software infringement, cybersecurity…).

  • Arrival of Pavlos Petrovas, partner, and opening of the Joffe & Associés office in Los Angeles.

In order to strengthen its position on the international market of business law firms, Joffe & Associés announces in March the opening of a new office in Los Angeles.

This office, headed by Pavlos Petrovas, partner, advises and assists French companies operating in the United States and American companies wishing to develop their activities in France, in all matters of corporate law and litigation (litigation and arbitration) as well as in terms of international mobility and immigration.
