TRAINEE OR JUNIOR CORPORATE LAW ASSOCIATE

The Los Angeles office of Joffe & Associés is seeking a trainee and a junior attorney, to start with the team as soon as possible.

Working directly with the on-site attorneys, you will join a dynamic team, with the opportunity to develop your skills across all aspects of corporate law, particularly relating to French and European clients’ establishment in the United States.

We advise our clients on corporate M&A operations, company formation and structuring, international employee transfers, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. We also handle arbitration and cross-border litigation, with the support of our Paris and London offices.

Your profile:

• You are a junior attorney or a trainee lawyer, or you are currently pursuing an LLM or JD in the United States, with a strong interest in cross-border matters ;
• You are rigorous, autonomous, and able to meet deadlines ;
• You demonstrate advanced writing skills in both French and English ;
• You are seeking to gain experience across all areas of business law, particularly in U.S. corporate law and M&A ;
• You are eager to contribute in an environment that values teamwork and initiative.

Your role:
In collaboration with team members, you will be involved in:

• Assisting with legal due diligences, including the review of shareholders agreements and commercial contracts ;
• Preparing legal notes and conducting legal research ;
• Assisting clients with their corporate transactions and the structuring of their companies.

Joffe and Partners LLP is the London office of Joffe & Associés and is regulated by the SRA. As a boutique firm, we focus on both commercial litigation and cross-border arbitration, and transactional work in the fields of corporate, IP, IT and employment law. Our clients include French and international corporations, tech companies, and high net worth individuals. The successful candidate will work closely with the managing partner, a solicitor advocate in England and Wales, and French avocat, providing a unique opportunity for direct experience in international legal work.
