Hinfact is taking off thanks to a €4 million fundraising round

The Toulouse-based start-up Hinfact, which offers commercial pilot training centres an advanced analytics solution, has completed its first round of funding of nearly 4 million euros, with a view to accelerating the commercialisation of these solutions and expanding them into new sectors such as the military, the nuclear industry and healthcare.

Having validated its technology and won over its first clients, Hinfact announced on 12 April 2023 that it had raised €4 million in its first funding round. This round comprises a mix of debt and equity, with the venture capital firm Innovacom – advised by Joffe & Associés – contributing €1.5 million from its ‘early-stage’ fund, Technocom 3, alongside several business angels. The aim is simple: to accelerate the industrial and commercial development of its solutions and to extend its technology to a range of other sectors.

Hinfact works with airline training centres around the world. Its technology, at the cutting edge of neuroscience research, is based on neurotransmitters and stimulators used on pilots, which aim to improve flight safety in three key areas: pilot training, aircraft design and flight operations. The Toulouse-based start-up thus offers a tool that collects, analyses and interprets pilots’ flight and eye-tracking data via the stimulators, with the aim of objectively identifying areas for improvement. This solution has been available on the market since March 2022, and growth is expected to accelerate in 2023, notably with a doubling of the company’s workforce, which currently stands at around ten employees.
