Joffe & Associés advised Aldebaran Capital Partners, a French investment firm dedicated to the transformation of SMEs and mid-caps, and Bpifrance, on their acquisition of a majority stake in Carveam, a French group specialising in machining and precision engineering.
Aldebaran Capital Partners supports the leaders of SMEs and mid-caps through their strategic and operational transformations. It stands together with companies temporarily facing a difficult situation (carve-out, family transition, consolidation, etc.), providing them with the human, financial and organisational resources they need to rebound and build lasting growth.
Bpifrance, present across the country through its 37 regional offices, finances companies at every stage of their development: start-up, acquisition or external growth, innovation-driven development, and expansion into new markets in France or abroad.
Founded in Haute-Savoie, Carveam designs and distributes high-tech mechanical parts for several strategic industrial sectors: aerospace and defense, automotive, medical and energy.
Through its subsidiaries DBC and Mont Blanc Productions (acquired in July 2025) and its two industrial sites, the group operates across the entire value chain, from manufacturing and machining to assembly and quality control. With more than 100 employees, Carveam serves major industrial clients and generates revenue of approximately €25 million.
The transaction was carried out with Bpifrance, which is investing through several investment vehicles. Nicolas Thivant, the group’s new CEO, is joining them as a co-investor. The deal is intended to enable Carveam to accelerate its repositioning toward aerospace, defense and space, and to establish Carveam as a leader in precision machining serving cutting-edge industries.
It also illustrates Aldebaran’s commitment to industrial companies rooted in their regions, particularly at pivotal moments in their history such as ownership transfers and the arrival of a new CEO.
For this transaction, the Joffe & Associés‘ team, which handled the corporate, financing and management package aspects, included Thomas Saltiel, partner, Antoine Lamy, Clément Peillet and Alexia Guyot, associates.
